Veteran commercial director Jim Rose dies at 84

James "Jim" Rose, longtime award-winning television commercial director, died following a lengthy illness in La on Sept. 8. He was 84.Among his many notable advertisements created through Rose-Magwood Prods., the organization he founded with Howard Magwood in early sixties, were the very first singing Budweiser advertisements, TV advertisements for Viceroy and Old Gold cigarettes, Alberto Culver with Annette Funicello, Harris & Frank with Joe Namath and every one of the Aurora "Skittle" game advertisements starring comedian Don Adams.   1. Whoever 'penned' this "obituary" on my father, has absolutely no command of the English language. I, along with Joan Mellini-Renfrow, wrote the original obituary. The above, is un-readable and an insult. The verbage is not close to comprehension and the use of verbs, adjectives, etc. is a total insult to him. Donna Resnick
